We’re excited to have you exhibit at the Bismarck Event Center! To help everything run smoothly (and keep everyone safe and happy), we’ve put together a few important guidelines for exhibitors. Below are the must-knows for booth setup, displays, food sampling, vehicles, and general facility use. A quick review before you arrive will help ensure a stress-free move-in, a great show, and an easy move-out.
Adhesive-backed decals or stick-on items are not permitted, except for name tags. Magnetic-backed decals are allowed.
Helium balloons are permitted only in the Exhibit Hall Lobby with prior approval. Balloons must be tied down and weighted. A $5.00 fee will be charged for each balloon left on the ceiling. Helium balloons are not permitted in the Arena or Exhibit Halls A, B, C, or D.
Residue-resistant carpet tape is required. All tape must be removed and any residue cleaned up immediately after the show.
Only water-based cleaning products may be used. Protective measures must be taken to prevent damage to the floor surface and finish.
All tanks must be secured with a base, non-combustible ties, or chains to prevent tipping. Tanks not in use must have a protective cap attached at all times. LP tanks are limited to 12 lbs. or less.
Items may not be nailed, tacked, stapled, or otherwise fastened to ceilings, walls, doors, columns, or painted surfaces unless approved and directed by Bismarck Event Center staff. Painter’s tape or gaffer’s tape may be used with permission. Nothing may be hung or taped to portable or sound walls. Chairs may not be used for hanging items; ladders are available from the Event Center.
Staples, stick pins, or tacks are not allowed. Items may not be hung from draping in any manner, including tape. Show curtain hooks or clothes hangers may be used only on the top cross bar.
Electrical service is provided within 50 feet of booth locations. Exhibitors must supply their own extension cords or power strips.
Outside food and beverages are not permitted during show hours. Dietary needs or medical conditions must be approved in advance by Bismarck Event Center staff.
Food and beverage sampling requires prior approval from Bismarck Event Center Management and a valid food permit. Vendors must comply with fire codes, use flame-retardant materials, avoid open flames, cook at the back of the booth, wear disposable gloves, and provide a small fire extinguisher approved for electrical fires.
All giveaway items must comply with building policies. Guns, knives, or other dangerous weapons are not permitted in the Bismarck Event Center.
Painting, welding, drilling, coring, or punching holes in the building is prohibited.
The use of propane or bottled gas inside the building is prohibited. All containers must be removed from vehicles before entering the facility.
The Bismarck Event Center uses a third party vendor for all freight services. All freight must be shipped to, and picked up from Jobbers, not the Event Center. Jobbers will deliver the freight to the Event Center on the appropriate move-in date. How you ship to Jobbers is up to you. The Bismarck Event Center will only accept freight from Jobbers.
Preregistration is required for Jobbers Convention Freight Services.
